You’ve probably heard that the “best” camera is the one that you have with you. The saying has become a bit of a cliche, but it’s a good reminder for those of us who sometimes get too caught up in having “the right gear”. You can spend a lot of money on a terrific camera, but if you end up leaving it at home, what’s the point?

If you need more evidence, check out this year’s iPhone Photography Award winners. The IPP Awards are the longest-running competition dedicated to iPhone photography, highlighting the best photos taken through the year with everyone’s favorite smartphone.
